From all the reviews I read, all gave this product 4 or 5 stars. Very highly rated, and lots of good words to say about it. It offered all and more that my previous anti-virus company had, and it was about 15 dollars cheaper. So I thought that I would give it a try. I purchased what on the box said BitDefender Internet Security 2011. The instructions said 2011 on it, so did the installation disc. So I loaded it onto my wife's computer, only to find that the registration key was invalid. When I contacted the company I was told to uninstall it and return the product to the store. So that is what I did. Upon getting home with the new copy, I reinstalled it, only to find that the registration key was still invalid. I contacted the company again, and was told to uninstall and return it. When I informed the company that I have already done that, I was told to go to their website, use... Works quite well as a scanning system in the background. Notifications are small but insistent (such as now), downloads of upgrades and patches are quick and easy. For an old semi-techie such as myself the less complicated, the better. Plus, the download price was right. Installation was ok, but I found that the streaming quotes (a java app) at my stockbroker do not work with this installed. I found no phone support, then filled in their help request and chatted a bit. The tech wrote it was a known issue he would have to give it to senior techs, and I would have a fix within 24 to 48 hours. That ship has sailed, and no reply. I tried them again this morning and couldn't get a chat. I uninstalled the Bitdefender 5 minutes ago. My quotes now stream. It was 18 or 19 dollars, but the lack of streaming quotes cost a lot more. If you have a problem with this, you might as well be on your own. I question the glowing reviews. I would rate it zero stars if possible. 2 hours later- It looks like I'll have to restore my system to a previous 'safe' point to get rid of all the artifacts Bitdefender leaves behind after being uninstalled...
